You change lives
_
Isn't Jacob absolutely so cute? It is thanks to you that his family now has a ceramic floor in their home. His parents, Jacobo and Celia have been able to improve their home thanks to connections and sales through Esperanza en Acción. It has been proven that having a tile floor reduces childhood diseases such as parasites, anemia and diarrhea. Your donation makes a difference in the lives of other children like Jacobo. Donate now and give the gift of health to other children and their families.

A Big Fat Success Story
_ “I told my husband that if he would take care of buying food for our household I would put my money to buying materials to put in a toilet. It’s really important to me because it means better hygiene for my children.” To read the whole story about how Angela has saved up to put in a toilet for her family through working with Esperanza en Acción click here: www.esperanzaenaccion.org/success-story.html |
Artisans at Work
|
Watch Nicaraguan ceramic artisans as they take you through the various stages required to make their works of art. In this video you will see two different artisan communities represented. The first is Loma Panda, a group of five sisters who work in rustic pottery. They live on a remote mountainside in Northern Nicaragua and have little access to markets for their crafts. The other artisans hail from San Juan de Oriente, a community about 30 miles south of Managua that is known for its exquisite decorative ceramics. While these artisans enjoy better access to markets, they rely on Esperanza en Acción for technical assistance and access to Fair Trade buyers. |
